School is now out for me and I am officially done with my freshman year- pretty exciting stuff. I still have no idea about my Spanish II grade but am choosing to believe the teacher decided to show me a little grace and give me a passing grade...if she only knew how many prayers I have sent up on her behalf lol. The school decided to put everything on-line, including our class grades, and I am having problems accessing them. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon though because, as you all know, I am a chronic worrier. I hoping to get into my advisor and see what courses are required for a History Ed. Major- after this semester I really feel like that would be more suited a career for me, but who knows I'm keeping it in my prayers.
Since school has been out I haven't really been up to a whole lot. Shannon has been my savior in the job department because until the summer starts I really don't have an income big enough to fill my gas tank. Plus I really enjoy getting to see the boys more often and catch up with the goings on of the Barriers. As Mom would remind me (and I love her for it, really), I do drive to the big city of Albemarle quite a lot so gas is my only expense right now and I can be thankful for that.
Y'all will all be surprised to know I have been in a bit of trouble lately, well accidental trouble anyway. Apparently, as I have been informed by he himself, I take after my father in the "having troubles being on-time" department. Yes, I will admit I have been adding worry to my parents life lately and am very sorry for it. Last night was another mix-up but this time I did call, really. I was babysitting for Shannon, sorry for the late phone call you received, and then left to pick up a purse that a friend had told me was on sale, yes I'm a sucker for sales. Of course you cannot go to Wal-Mart without seeing someone you know and this time was no exception. When I realized I was not going to get away in a timely fashion I called my father's cell phone...no answer, try again...no answer. I swear people I do try to think things through, really! I figured that he had fallen asleep and his phone was off so I'd send him a text message he would get if he woke up and checked his phone...no so such luck. I received the unthoughtful daughter award once again. I came home to a worried mother and an asleep father. I felt terrible- but don't worry I have vowed to change my wandering ways. I am working hard to make my college stay at home as peaceful as possible, but as you can see I have a few things to learn =).
It was great to see all of the family over the past week!! Mame's Birthday celebration was great!! Happy Birthday Mame!! The weather was amazing at Lake Norman and it was fun to see all the kids play at the lake together like I used to. Hope to see the pretty weather come back soon!!!

Don't worry about the phone call!!! We were still up, and I am SO thankful that you have been able to babysit during baseball.
You're off the hook, but your father is on it! He can go to sleep through anything. I guess he figures one worrying parent is enough. As Leigh has said, you are trustworthy. I thank God for that. Love ya, Mom
good thing too Mom--i don't think you could have handled another one like me :)--angel that I was ;).
It's about time you blogged! Miss ya babe! Wish you were here!
